I am excited to be at Caritas and to partner with the families here in educating their children for the glory of God. I homeschooled my own kids classically for over ten years before moving to the classroom as a classical educator. I have a B.A. from Tabor College in Hillsboro, KS and an M.A. in Philosophy from Clarks Summit University where I wrote my thesis on “The Education of a Hero,” which was a comparison of Alyosha in Dostoevsky's The Brothers Karamazov and Achilles in Homer’s Iliad. I love the Latin language as well as Roman history and culture, and have been a student of the language for many years. I studied the language under the direction of Dr. David Noe of Latin Per Diem.
My favorite things to do are to spend time with my family and read great books. I am a particular fan of British literature. Some of my favorite authors are J.R.R. Tolkien, Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, Agatha Christie, and Dorothy Sayers. Aside from reading I also enjoy running, practicing Taekwondo with my family, and drinking Dragon Drinks from Starbucks. My family and I are members of Reformation Orthodox Presbyterian Church and we love our fellowship with friends there and learning more about God’s word.
